Now I noticed the "change dashboard installer label" option doesn't do anything - Dashboard version remains "graham_inggs_custom_iso" whatever you type in here. Issue is native to 0.0.0.7 and 0.0.0.8

Having inspected the log file (ResHacker.log), it seems a comma in the path name caused ResHacker.exe to crash. Removing the comma from the path to Dashboard Tool fixed the issue.

I tried both v0.0.0.7 and v0.0.0.8, but neither is working. At the end of the process Dashboard Tool says:

Dashboard installer created.
Do you want to start installer now?

But the installer file (.exe) is not produced. Is there some special requirement for this software?

error on version number after flashing

I downloaded v.0.0.0.8 and facing wrong version no issue after flashing. The issue is explained in the attachments. I have not found any link inform the issue to the creator, so posting here.

Few days ago frutis has released a new version of Huawei Dashboard Tool v.0.0.0.8

Improvements:
- Used the new installer Huawei: UTPS16.002.15.04.114_MAC16.001.17.05.114 (E173u-1)
- Correct application performance on systems with different encoding characters (eg Chinese)
- Do not get an error if the system does not have usb drives, cd-rom
- The size of iso image is checked before the application starts
- Change the way backup progress reporting dashboard
- Can not use special characters in the "label"

Reverse Dashboard Installer.exe?

Thanks for the informative post!

I use a pre-paid service in South Africa and sometimes utilise different carriers and machines (Linux, OS X, Windows). I can see how to make an installer but want to reverse an installer, add some tweaks, de-brand and recreate the installer. If I flashed my e1820 I think I can copy all the files but want to avoid flashing a few time to extract all the files and tweaks from several installers.

Is this possible and if so how?
