I'm new to this forum and I completed my first IMEI repair today but having issues trying to get internet on Netgear maybe someone can help me out.
I changed IMEI on my Netgear MR1100 and replaced it with the IMEI from my iPad Pro. Once done I installed activated sim card into Netgear MR1100. The IMEI on iPad and Netgear now match. I purchased the sim card from Metro PCS / T-Mobile tablet unlimited plan. So far so good right but when I tried connecting to Netgear mr1100 a browser page opens and says "Your plan does not include Mobile HotSpot". I thought the purpose of changing IMEI on Netgear mr1100 was to fool the service provider so it thinks it's an iPad but even with the IMEI changed the service provider still knows and blocks internet on Netgear router. Has anyone come across this with their service provider? Any settings I can change on Netgear router? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
