Repeated Error 22 writing to port message

Hi,
Following my earlier attempts, have finally managed to get DC client to identify my wifi modem.
Here's the result:

Any suggestions/advice would be very much appreciated!
Oh, and have tried on two different computers but the same message.

Is there something basic I'm not doing (connected wifi modem via usb cable, installed Huawei software so the modem is recognised)?
