  • Error code 62

    Hello

I'm trying to unlock my E3272 modem but it fails at the final step. After I press "Do Job" it eventually says "Error connecting to server !" and it fails from there. Is there something that can be done in order to make this work?

Can be woth noting that I get this message when I try to unlock my E3272 modem.

    Unlocking, please wait ...

    Error connecting to server !

    Error code 62

    unlock failed !

When I plug in my modem to the computer, I can't surf on the internet. I can connect to my wire less internet, but I can't browse any websites. I can't see a way around that, however, because his happens as I plug in my modem. E.g. before the modem is connected to the computer, I can browse Facebook, Twitter and any other sites, but as soon as the dongel is connected I can't go online anymore, even if it says that I'm still connected to my wire less network.

My username is Veedmar and I have seven credits, enough to unlock my current modem.

Do you have other internet connection at unlock time than modem which you try to unlock?
If so, it may be that device which you are unlocking is overtaking the connection. How to avoid can find here: https://www.dc-unlocker.com/adapter-binding-settings

Hm, doesn't seem to help. My dongle is already at the bottom of that list and it still "overtake" my connection..

Ok, so I tried this with a Windows 7 computer instead of my own. It helps and the dongle is no longer overtaking the connection. But there is a new problem now. According to DC unlocker, my firewall/anti-virus is blocking the use of DC unlocker and I have to run it as an administrator. I'm running it as an administrator, and I have unactivated the firewall and anti-virus, and it still doesn't help.

Edit; after starting DC Unlocker with a right click and then "Run as administrator" I now get a new error. This time it simply says "modem not found" even though the modem is connected to the computer...

Edit 2; After installing the software that comes with the modem, DC unlocker could find the modem. However, now the dongel is overtaking the wireless network on the Windows 7 computer as well and I get an Error 62 when I try to unlock my modem...

So the problem now is that DC Unlocker can't find my modem if the dongel's software isn't installed on the computer. Without the software, my dongle doesn't overtake my wireless network. However, in order to make DC Unlocker "see" my modem, I HAVE to install the software that comes with the dongel. Problem is, now DC Unlocker can find my modem, but the modem overtakes my wireless connection so an error 62 pops up when I try to unlock my modem.

Is there a way around this or should I just give up?

Modem software must be installed. Have you restarted computer after moving modem connection to bottom? If so, and it did not help, then try to do this: control panel > network and internet > network connections > Right click on your device that you want to unlock connection > Properties > Internet protocol (TCP/IPv4) > Properties > Advanced > IP settings > Uncheck "Automatic metric". Set Interface metric as "200". OK > OK > OK

Alright, the modem's software are installed. I have restarted my computer after moving the modem's connection to the bottom, and it still did not help. I tried to change the IP settings too, but the only thing that happend was that instead of a page saying "wrong SIM card" it said "Can't open website' when I tried to go to a website, so that did not help either.

What I need is a way to have my modem plugged into the computer, and still being able to be connected to my wireless connection. Currently, it doesn't matter what I do, the modem's network is overtaking my wireless connection. If we can find a way around that, I might be able to unlock my modem. And I have tried to inactivate the modem and thus enabled myself to browse a website, but with my modem inactivated, it can't be detected by DC Unlocker...

Don't understand why I am having all these troubles though. It seems like most people that does an unlocking with your software can do it without any problems. I really don't get why I have all this problems.....

Sorry, if my provided suggestions does not help, only way to try other computer, other connection. Make restart after both changes, check if all changes done step by step. Maybe missed anything.
