  • Error 62

I am trying to unlock my Huawei phone Y538. I already purchased 4 credits and when I login using the software (user name deelam25), I can see the phone. The phone is detected by the software in manufacturer mode but as soon as I try to unlock it, I get Error 62, failed to connect to server. The phone then reboots. I have tried it with both the sim in and without a sim. The phone has not been previously activated on any service though it is locked to Sprint/Virgin Mobile in USA.
No credits have been used up yet and I am using a Win10 64bit PC.
Any help will be much appreciated.

Just to update, I have now tried it on 3 different computer (win7 and win 10) and from two different IP locations. Keep getting the same error: Failed to connect to server: Error 62.

Can you check for any blocks. Thank you.

Here are no blocks and all servers are working. Try to check, maybe firewall or any other software is blocking connection. Be sure you do not use proxy or VPN. Try to use other connection, maybe this will help.

No firewalls. I even turned off windows default firewall. I do not have any VPN or proxy software running either. Only running windows defender and malewarebytes anti-malware. Does the Unlocker software need to be installed in a specific location?alternatively, can I try to open/check any specific port on my router?
Also, as I stated, I have tried it on 3 different Computer from two different IP location (home and work).

DC-unlocker does not have to be installed in any specific location on pc. Try to check connection while using tether from phone, see if it's same.

My phone does not currently have mobile data but has wifi. Would that work if so how do I do it? I have now tried it on a 4th PC and still get the same error.
A quick question: does the phone need to be preactivated on a network and does it need a sim inside when trying to unlock?

Alright. I managed to unlock it finally. Now, I have one credit left over. Is there a way I can get a refund back as I used paypal to order credits? I do not have any plans of unlocking another device.
              Thank you.
