Can't connect to internet when on usb mifi

I'm trying to unlock a mifi 5792.
the problem is that as soon as I connect via usb, the computer cannot connect to the Internet anymore. It's as though the usb connection takes over.
How can I prevent this, whilst still being able to login and unlock?
I get error 62

I tried changing the adspter binding settings but it's not helping
