BTW, I am not aware of a network scanner on my PC. I can't find the Winpcap driver to uninstall it. I am running Windows 7.

Uninstall network scanner software and it drivers (winpcap driver npf.sys) or will be blocked again. Now have unblocked and you should be able to connect to server.

WinPcap is used as the network interface by many tools -- both free and commercial including protocol analyzers, network monitors, network intrusion detection systems, sniffers, traffic generators, network testers, etc. Some of these tools, like Wireshark, Nmap, Snort, WinDump, ntop are very well known in the networking community.

The driver can be started or stopped from Services in the Control Panel or by other programs. The program has no visible window. The service has no detailed description. The file is not a Windows core file. There is no file information. Program is not active.

I just tried it again and got the same error.

I don't have winpcap driver or npf.sys running on my computer.

        Any more ideas?

Couldn't get it working on my Win7 machine - had to use an old XP one.
