  • "Exception Processing Message" error

    Hi,
When I run dc-unlocker client (version 267 and also tried v244) I get two messages like this before the interface starts up...
    Windows - No Disk
    Exception Processing Message c0000013 Parameters 75b6bf7c 4 75b6bf7c 75b6bf7c

After I click 'continue' to these error messages the software seems to start up ok, but it won't detect my Novatel Merlin XU870 (tried auto detect mode and every combination of COM ports). Does anyone know what these error messages mean? And could the error be the reason why my card isn't detected?
    Cheers,
    George

This error could not be the reason of your card was not detected.Did you check the device manager if there is a com port and modem?

      Hi Avantha,
I spent a long time on live support last night and we verified the modem and com port, but couldn't get the device to be recognised. Support couldn't give me anything else to try so I've given up on dc-unlocker for now.
      Cheers,
      George

        Try this first,
Change the pictore that is currently on your PC's desktop to a standard windows OS desktop.

          Hi Gary,
I just tried your tip and it didn't work I'm afraid.
          Cheers,

            Hi,

Make sure that there is no disc in your DVD drives.

                Hi georgec,

I encountered this error message for the first time when I used my memory stick to copy some files. I also have WD passport mass storage device attached to my computer via USB.

The solution which worked for me is

Click on the "safely remove hardware" this icon is found in the right had bottom of you monitor where the time and date are displayed. This is usually hidden, you can see it by clicking on the small arrow to unhide other icons.
Once you click on it, a new window appears and this will give you the list of all the devices attached to your computer. Click one by one and select stop.

Reboot your computer without any device attached to your computer.

                Gary

                  Gary,
This does appear to be the same error message, but I dont have any USB devices attached (or any media in my DVD drive). I suspect the error is something to do with a driver related to dc-unlocker. It's all just too hard to figure out so I think I'll pay my mobile broadband provider the $100 fee they charge to unlock my device.
                  Cheers,
                  George
