  • error connecting to server

I am getting this error when I check my login.

I have uninstalled winpcap but had previously tried to login while it was installed. Could you please check if my account is blocked?

    User: adams-noel

    I should have 10 credits.

    Thank you.

No, here is no block on your username.
You should check if you use 0805 version of DC-Unlocker and check this step-by-step:
Check firewall settings (Firewall may block your connection to server).
Make sure other software is not blocking your connection.
Try to use other connection method.
During the unlocking process, working network connection is necessary.
Do not use the same modem for the internet that you are unlocking.

Still unable to connect to server

      Thanks Gintas,

I am using the latest DC-Unlocker. Have disabled windows frirewall. Have tried it on 3 other computers - I don't know how to check if other programs are blocking me?

Unless you have some other suggestion, I will try a fresh install of the OS.

      Noel.

re: error connecting to server - check login - solved

Good news - at least for me!

The problem was my router DLINK DIR-825 with stock firmware. I changed to an older DIR-615 with latest DD-WRT firmware and the check login worked as expected (without dongle attached). I then attached the dongle, installed the connection manager and drivers, detected the modem and successfully unlocked my Telstra USB 4G MF821 even though it displayed as an "unknown modem". It used 7 credits to unlock. I have tested it and it now works fine on other networks.

This is really good news for many Aussies because Telstra want A$100 to unlock the MF821 (their latest 4G USB modem).

Did you unlock MF821 modem? Maybe you saved the unlock text what DC-Unlocker showed?

            Unlock Telstra MF821

            Yes Gintas,

I did unlock the MF621. The only string it displayed was "modem sucessfully unlocked" followed by "you now have 3 credits left".

If I now detect the modem with DC-UNLOCKER it displays:

            DC - Unlocker 2 Client 1.00.0805

            Detecting card :

            selection :
            manufacturer - ZTE modems
            model - Auto detect (recommended)

            Found modem : +CGMM: "MF821"
            Model : Unknown ZTE modem
            IMEI : 861173000------ (edit)
            Firmware : T05
            Compile date / time : Feb 1 2012 10:08:32
            Chipset : Qualcomm MDM9200
            NAND Flash : HYNIX_HY27SF081G2A
            SIM Lock status : unlocked

Before unlocking the SIM lock status was locked (card lock).

I am now able to use the MF621 with non Telstra networks.

            Cheers,

            Noel.

So the modem is MF821 or MF621?

                MF821 unlock

                Sorry Gintas,

It is a MF821, not MF621. Sorry about the typo.

                Regards,

                Noel.
