Assume I'v egot the unlocking code

Assume I've already got the unlocking code and want to unlock this Huawei modem. I rang the network service provider they request me to supply the account details of the person who originally purchased the modem. Otherwise they don't release their unlocking software. I don't have because it was bought in the secondhand market.

I asssume the DC Unlocker Software here should help to unlock my modem.
Question:
1) In this case do I need to purchase any credit before I can try to use the dc unlocking software?
2) Just to make sure. Tthe software I need to download is named "dc-unlocker_client-1.00.0842.exc". Am I right?

I don't want to buy credits unnecessarily (because I've got the unlocking code) and because I am unsure if the modem has become faulty or not.

I want to try unlocking my modems (staring with the Huawei) What should I do next? I try to be adventurious and select one of those 4 unlocoptions: Read unlock code, Read Firmware Code, Generate Unlock code from IMEI, Generate Firmware code by IMEI. It always ask to enter some password.
