Yes i know the modem - cube type. You connect it to pc like you connect it now. But it can not be connected to the internet. Otherwise unlock won't work.

You need to connect it by wifi. But you can not use this modem wifi for internet connection to server. You need to have other connection, not modem that you try to unlock.

You need to connect modem you try to unlock by wifi.
Other connection that you need to use for connecting to server should be usb modem or lan connection.
