  • Huawei E8278 not unlocked

I was not able to get a Huawei E8278 unlocked, the unlock code was invalid. And after the failed attempt the modem came up in the software as a locked E5776 (Huawei E5776s). If you refund my Paypal payment (invoice 531050) that would be appreciated.
I'm willing to try again as a E5776 I guess even though the model is actually a E8278s.

Then maybe there was e5776s connected to pc while you tried to detect/unlock e8278? Please paste any detect info so we can check it.

During the unlock operation it detected the modem as a E5776s although it subtracted 4 credits during the attempt. Is there a text file on the system to retrieve the logs?

In a second try, I was able to successfully unlock the E8278 modem as an E8278 (losing another 4 credits). I do not own a locked E5776, certainly.

I ran the app now with Auto detect (recommended) and the only output I have is:

        DC - Unlocker 2 Client 1.00.1084

Well we won't be able to refund for those 4 credits that you spent earlier as it was generated unlock code which we won't be able to check. That imei is also different from your e8278 device.

First of all, I asked you how to get the earlier output from the application since its not on the window of the application now - isn't there a log file on the system?
Second, I checked and there is a Wifi access point in the building that is a Huawei, though I was not connected to it and possibly the wireless client in Windows switched to it. If you want, I am happy to get the IMEI for you.
You should also consider that I've had some unlock requests without a problem and this one was a hiccup that had no benefit for me.
I would appreciate it if you refund my payment, or you could compromise and credit 4 credits to my account so that I can make use of the lost credits in the future. I'd really like to know how this happened so I know how to avoid this problem next time - maybe I misunderstood, but your reply seems to be discouraging further purchases unless its with older equipment (but vendors will often give the unlock for free after several months anyway).

As i mentioned earlier we can not check even if you provide imei of another device, unlock code was generated for it and service counts as used. We won't be able to check if you do not own device that you generated unlock code for. Refund is provided only when direct unlock is performed unsuccessfully.

I sent you the IMEI in PM. The other Huawei device, which is a Huawei branded E5776, wasn't connected to my laptop when I tried unlocking the modem (E8278), as it is a AP in the building, so I am not sure what happened, but am guessing that the computer tried to connect to the Wifi during the unlock operation itself and then DC-Unlocker attempted an unlock. I would appreciate it if you can do something positive with the information I've provided or advise what else you need. Thanks.
