  • How many credits?

I have a Huawei E5372T locked to Telstra in Australia.
My question is not specifically about the 5372, I can link to it with "DC-Unlocker Client v1.00.1084", and it correctly recognises serial numbers, IMEI number etc. That part works as expected.

I have not purchased any credits yet, but at this point: The "Unlocking" tab has radio buttons where the "Do Job" button is active:
    -Generate Unlock code by IMEI
    -Generate Firmware code by IMEI
    Attempting either requires credits.

Both require credits, but which one do I use, and how many credits?
The tutorial does not indicate there are any radiobuttons to choose from.

The number of credits guide required is not clear, I've seen the 5372 mentioned ONCE in each dongle/non-dongle list, but that's an update, there is no "Unlock" entry for the E5372T.

Also, I have no idea what a "Dongle" is in this context. I mean, I know what a dongle is, but don't understand why some users would have them and some not?

So my question is, how many credits do I need, and, which radio button on the "unlocking" tab do I choose (again the tutorial shows none).

You need 7 credits for unlock of this device. Option is select automatically when you open Unlocking tab, so you do not need to click nothing there - It should be set on Generate code and auto enter option. Device must have operators sim inside it that does not work with it during detect/unlock.

So the responses of the software changes after you have logged in, and have enough credits available.
I was already aware of the need to have a non-usable SIM in place during the unlocking phase.
      Thanks for your help!

Another question, this time about payment.
I've clicked Paypal as the payment method.
Choosing "Existing User" is refused, claiming I'm not an existing user.
After using "New User", I've entered 7 credits, and now it says they have been credited to my acccount.
Great, but how do I pay for it? I have not entered any payment methods previously, and it didn't ask for any now.

Maybe you have missed something. Credits can not be added to your account without payment. Only after you complete payment account with credits is created and e-mail with username and password is sent to you.
