  • How many credits to unlock Vodaphone K3565?

Sorry, newbie question but I can't work out if unlocking my dongle is free, or if its just the software that's free. If I need credits to unlock then how much? Thanks.

Not free. Unlocking your device needs 4 credits.
Free unlimited is only if you have dc-unlocker dongle – a hardware key to dc-unlocker software. If you do not have this key, then you need top buy credits. You checked the price list that is for dc-unlocker dongle users. There is other list for other users. You can find list here: http://www.dc-unlocker.com/buy/user_prices

Got you. Thanks for the clarification. Confused by the 'dongle' reference; thought it meant a data modem dongle

Excellent - now unlocked. Would appreciate advice on new connection software please; the Vodafone software doesn't want to play with any other networks.

Getting there! Installed Mobile Partner and updated the connection manager on the data card. I can connect with a number of Sims. Two issues:
1 - Can't make voice calls or send sms. Something still to unlock?
2 - More important, my Windows 7 PC/Mobile Partner software really don't like me changing the sim; have had to go as far as rebooting the machine before the new sim is recognised. Any clues?

Guess this thread is on the wrong place now. Sorry.

Success! Read on here that the K3565 is actually the E160X; downloaded the firmware, and now have a fully enabled data card, and can can make phone calls from my PC, and Mobile Partner recognises the data card with different sims without a reboot. You guys kept your promise. Thanks.
