any version higher than 1.00.0620 fails on XP?

Having issues getting program to work, any version higher than 1.00.0620 shows error of failed to initialise on win XP.
the issue i'm having also is that on my XP machine I can connect to the server but can't see my modem.(huawei 585-82)
on my win7 machine with latest version I can see my modem but can't connect to server and get error 17.
any help would be good as have spent a lot of time trying to do this that it would have been cheaper to have the carrier unlock it...

Please write your username or Vygis/Rocker/DC-Unlocker dongle ID and then we will check why you can receive 17 error.

Please use latest (currently 0828) DC-Unlocker version.
