    Hi,

I tested if DC unlocker can detect my phone before purchasing credit.
It is u8650 from Yoigo Spain, but replaced system with original Huawei Android 2.3.3

When I plug my phone switched on, dc-unlocker doesn't detect it.
When I switch off, remove battery, wait 5 secs, add battery and switch on with Vol-
and power button then dc-unlocker gives me:

    ------
Step by step guide for Huawei phone unlock

    DC - Unlocker 2 Client 1.00.0857

    Detecting phone :

    selection :
    manufacturer - Huawei phones
    model - Auto detect (recommended)

    Fastboot version : 0.5
    Product : swordfish

    ---------

I get the same result when I hold Vol- pressed while detection.
I tried to follow the instruction on the website, however I could not log in, since I
did not buy any credits yet.

Is this message normal? I expect a bit longer message.

    Yes, its normal.
Phone will be fully detected only when you log in with existing account.

Username and password for DC-Unlocker software you will get after you buy credits. You can buy credits here: http://www.dc-unlocker.com/buy

      Thanks, Gintas!

There is, however, one thing I don't fully understand:
on http://www.dc-unlocker.com/faq I read that it is advised to check if phone can be detected before buying credit.
But this seems to contradict the fact that I can't even correctly have my phone detected without sufficient credit.

Or maybe this short result I received (Fastboot version : 0.5; Product : swordfish) already means that my phone is supported and it is safe to buy credits?

In any case I believe that the documentation needs to be improved a bit in this regard, either on the web or in the application.

Well, sorry, but Android based phones cannot be fully detected without having an account (not all). And this (fastboot 0.5; swrodfish) is the sign that your phone is supported.

          Ok, thanks.
If there is a chance to modify the application to output one more line confirming that phone is supported, could be of great help for many.

(A sidenote: I don't really understand how the phone detection feature is connected to having an account. But of course I don't need to understand everything.)

Thanks for suggestion, this will be forwarded to software developers.
