You can unlock it directly with DC-Unlocker software. You need to detect modem, then go to Unlock tab, click Unlock.

Hi. I have a problem with Huawei E587. I unlocked it but it doesn't accept other sim cards. I thinks it's in the firmware. I happens that I own a E587 which I unlocked it about a year ago and it went smooth but this one has a newer firmware then one I have used to have at the time when I unlocked it. Is there anything I can do? I'll try flashing it to an unbranded firmware but I'm having a hard time getting the flash code.

Have you entered correct apn address for other operators sim card?

Long story short I eventually got it unlocked. Hopefully next time the client will not be in such a hurry because working under pressure sucks.
