  • router not detected-B593

Dear tech support, I bought a new Hauwei B593 which was supposed to be unlocked but is not...it is non branded router....tried DC Unlocker but fails to detect router....tried all the network stack and DNS changes and tried on other computers, same thing......

next, did a network capture of traffic between router and computer....seems DC-Unlock connects at TCP/IP port 1280,,,,,the router receives the connect request from DC-Unlocker and then replies with a TCP/IP packet with the Reset Flag set to '1'.....that is, the connection is terminated immediately from the router side....tried Telnet to port 1280 on router, same thing

It therefore seems port 1280 as used by DC-unlocker is blocked on my B593?

    Is there a solution? Router Firmware/Software is:V200R001C00SP032
    Hardware Version: B

    thx

Hi, thanks for quick feedback...yes, tried that and all the other tips....I can see from looking at the TCP/IP information that the router reply back to the DC-unlocked software with a reset, that is, no connection is ever made, on the very first handshake on port 1280, a reset flag is send back....no problem when using a port like 80, it looks to me the DC-Unlocked software is working like it should but the router kills any connection attempts on port 1280...I picked the very same thing up with a Telnet session to the router on port 1280 ....I get the idea that port 1280 is blocked on router.....seems one cannot change this in router setup page.....any further advise or experience on it? Did you or someone manage to unlock router with that firmware version? (V200R001C00SP032) Maybe with this firmware, the port 1280 is no longer open?

There are many users who detected and unlocked this router with DC-Unlocker without problems. As far as I know, all known firmware versions of these modems are supported and can be unlocked with DC-Unlocker.

Did you try to use other computer? Other OS?

thx for feedback, ....did try on 2 Windows 7 systems and a Windows 8 PC, same thing, well, if it works for others, I will try few other things or send router back to supplier...can you confirm that TCP/IP port 1280 is the correct port used by DC-Unlocker to access the router.....maybe some port redirect is directing the request to 1280...then at least I can try fixing/troubleshooting that, thx

            Try windows XP if possible.

Sorry, cannot tell you which exactly port does DC-Unlocker user, because port numbers are changing constantly.
