E180 Unlock/Software

Hi,
I have a new branded, locked E180. I shall unlock using DC-unlocker. Then I would like to install generic dashboard/firmware. Are these two separate things (dashboard/firmware) or the same? I want to replace the firmware totally in the modem.
A link/s for the updates would be very helpful. Thank You.

But once you the dashboard updated to the unbranded Mobile Partner version what point is there. Huawei never released a firmware update for the E180's even thought they prmised 5.76 Mbps HSUPA support, it never arrived.

For this firmware (11.126.04.00.182), need that install into PC their dashboard to have modem-dongle E180 recognized by pc.
Seem that is a good high-speed firmware
