I have been an avid user of DC Unlocker for a while now. For the first time I am hitting a problem. I have a newly purchased B683, branded 3 mobile Ireland. DC Unlocker can't find the modem either wireless or network cable. I have gone through the process of removing firewall and reducing user access already.
Any help with other pointers would be appreciated.
I had tried all those steps before posting. I had also searched the forums and web which all point back to that post. None of the steps helped find the modem.
Any other hints? I am on windows 8, but can't see that impacting.
Maybe there are more huawei devices connected to pc at the time you are trying to detect it? Also try changing adapted binding settings if you haven't yet - https://www.dc-unlocker.com/b683-det...dapter-binding .
I've tried chaining those adapter binding settings (I only have wifi and ethernet, noth connected to modem anyway), and also deleted a legacy Huawei dongle that showed up in Network Connections.

None of those items worked.
Note, that device must be connected via cable, if it is connected wirelessly then detection won't work.
If you are using Windows 8, run our software as administrator, by clicking right mouse button on DC-Unlocker -> Run as... and select "run as administrator. Also do this: right click on DC-Unlocker > Properties > Compatibility > Run in compatibility mode with windows XP
