  • Huawei E586Bs-2 Unlocked

    Hi,

First time user of DC Unlocker so please bear with me!

I connected my device to my laptop and installed the drivers. I then got a net connection.

At this point, I ran dc-unlocker and selected "Detect Modem" and got the attached screen. The image indicates that it is unlocked!!! Why then can I not use the sim from another provider? Do I need to do something else?

Any assistance in helping me use the device with another provider will really be appreciated

    Thanks.

Maybe I am doing it wrong ... sorry

The connection I originally took is a VIVA line. I got the white E586 Mifi router with it.

With the VIVA SIM in the router, when I run DC-Unlocker, I get:
    Found modem : E586Bs-2
    Model : Huawei E586
    IMEI : 357xxxx
    Serial NR. : S9Qxxx
    Firmware : 21.322.00.11.397
    Compile date / time : Nov 23 2011 11:10:16
    Hardware ver. : CH1E586M
    Dashboard version : UTPSTOOL-ConnLaucher_WIN1.08.02.00_MAC1.08.04.00
    SIM Lock status : unlocked
Wrong codes entered : 2 (unlock attempts left : 8)
I have internet connection on my mobile (ZAIN). On my mobile, I have disabled the request for PIN on startup. I take this SIM and put it into the VIVA supplied Mifi Router .... now
With the ZAIN SIM in the router, when I run DC-Unlocker, I get:
    Firmware : 21.322.00.11.397
    Compile date / time : Nov 23 2011 11:10:16
    Hardware ver. : CH1E586M
    Dashboard version : UTPSTOOL-ConnLaucher_WIN1.08.02.00_MAC1.08.04.00
SIM Lock status : Locked (CardLock)
Wrong codes entered : 2 (unlock attempts left : 8)
I guess this does mean it is unlocked ... right?
OR, does this mean I have to enter the ZAIN Pin number (even though I had it disabled in my phone)?

    Will really appreciate any help

This means your router is locked.
If with other provider sim (sim other than modem) you see lock status as locked, means router is locked.

Thank you so much Vincentas, a tleast that makes sense

Can you tell me one more thing please ... if I unlock it using DC-Unlocker, would it be unlocked forever for all providers or it will be unlocked only for the specific provider whose SIM I have inserted?

Once again, thank you so much ... really appreciate the information you gave.

Hello guys............. dont break u r head too much............. its very simple......

if u scan your viva sim with a wifi router provided by viva it will show open because it has an access only for viva, if put unother sim it will show locked......

if u want to unlock it u have to sign in into the DC UNLOCKER applycation and buy the points or credit.... then unlock the router by using unlock option......

once u unlock, it will b unlocked for ever but u have to set internet settings dipending on the sim u use...........
