Huawei E3256 Port Forwarding HELP PLEASE!!

Ive recently bought a Huawei E3256 (UK 3 Premium Dongle) as a replacement to my home broadband as its both fast and cheaper.
After a little homework i chose to buy a TP-Link TL-MR3240 V2, this works great for surfing the internet on websites. However, I chose the TP-Link as it can port forward applications and my own version of a cloud (use a netgear readynas duo).
The Tp-Link has been setup to port forward no problem, but the E3256 appears to block the connections.
Is there any way to allow port forwarding on the E3256, im not worried about changing the firmware if thats what needs to be done.
