Huawei E5832 unlock?

I have been given an unlock code for my E5832 wi-fi modem but can't find a way to enter it in. The dc-unlock software doesn't seem to support it yet? Does anyone know how to unlock it?

Hello, test this: ********* I think, this software works also with other Huawei-Modems, to write the unlock code. Or put in a "wrong" SIM, and use the Router as USB-Modem. If the connection-software ask you for the unlock code, you won ;-)

Do not insert sim card. Unlocking needs 15 credits. Unlock procedure is same as for all huawei modems.

Error code 31

Hi, I to have been strugeling to unlcok th e5830. I have just been told on the chat support that I will need 15 credits to unlock modem. And so I have gotten 15 credits. But I get the error code 31. No sim inside so should be able to unlock. What could be the cause of the error message?

I cant answer direct with this error, only tomorrow working time live support can take error log file, and try check fast.

Detect Modem

Has anyone managed to get the dc-unlocker software to detect the Huawei e5832. I cant get it to detect it so I cant unlock it. Any help?

I have the E5832 and DC-Unlocker does recognise it but it will not unlock. The process gets to about 43% completed and then stops with error #45 with hung modem.

I have just managed to unlock my E5830

I had to disable the Network connection the device created before it would work otherwise I had all sorts of issues trying to contact the server, timing out, etc.

Can you let me know in more detail what you did to get it to be recognised by the dc-unlocker software. I still can't get past that point.

I put my invalid SIM into the E5830, plugged it into the USB port, switched it on and waited. The pressed the buttons to try and connect as normal. dc-unlock then recognised it on ports COM6 & COM7.

I then clicked the unlock icon and thats when I hit problems with timeouts, etc. I disabled the network adaptor it created, re-tried it and it worked.

I then had problems with the DHCP server not allocating me an IP address. I solved this by changing the security to WEP. I also had to set the APN, user & password in the connection software.

If unlocking this modem error 45 received, try to use this dc-unlocker software version: http://www.dc-unlocker.com/test/dc-u...lient_0377.exe
Do not uninstall previous version. Just run from this file.
