E220 unlocked..now what do?

Hi

I am a new user and cannot find instructions. I hope you can assist.

I have a E220 modem from Three UK. I have purchased credits and I have downloaded and run dc_unlocker. I think it has worked, the software detected the modem and a few secs later it said "Sim Lock Status Unlocked".

My questions is what do I do next? Is that all I need to do? If I now go and purchase a prepaid wireless sim card from any company (not just Three) should this work?

After you have unlocked your card you nee to use unbranded connection software. You can dowload it here: http://www.dc-unlocker.com/downloads/open/32
Install it, and then you will be able to use any sim card.

I'm seeing this question/answer too many times in this forum.

Suggestion: What about to insert a message displayed by the dc-unlocker software after unlock the kind of modems that require the unbranded connection manager?

I agree, I think that somewhere on this site you should have some instructions. Maybe when people purchase credits they should receive proper instructions then. It is very confusing if you have never used it before.
