Huawei E586E same as E586 ?

I have a Huawei E586E MiFi that is locked to T-Mobile (in the UK) and I want to unlock it.

The DC-unlocker list of supported devices includes Huawei E586, but not E586E and I'm wondering if they are the same "under the skin" even though they look different physically.

Can anyone say if they have successfully unlocked the E586E ?

Yes it can be unlocked by dc-unlocker. If you are not sure, detect device first with dc-unlocker software and paste us here information and we will be able to tell you exactly if it can be unlocked.

Yes, as i said it can be unlocked by dc-unlocker. Insert not original (invalid) sim to device then run detection again, it should show then sim lock status: Locked.

modem not found !

I searched on the forum, and tried a suggestion to use an older version of the unlocker (used above) but this hasn't made any difference.

I should explain that I am a bit of a techno-idiot, so please use short words!

I noticed some people saying they had downloaded something to the modem as well - should I have done this? Perhaps I missed seeing an idiot's instruction guide?

Please be kind to an old lady!!

If you can not detect modem you should check the fallowing:
Check, if the drivers are installed
Check, if the connection software for this modem is closed and modem is not connected to internet
Check, if you use autodetect function in dc-unlocker software
Check, if you use latest dc-unlocker software version.
