  • Huawei U8110 Error 129

XP SP3. Phone is listed under Modems and Ports in Device Manager. Phone software closed. Windows firewall disabled as suggested elsewhere on here.

    DC - Unlocker 2 Client 1.00.0764

    Detecting phone :

    selection :
    manufacturer - Huawei phones
    model - Auto detect (recommended)

    Found Phone : U8110
    Model : Huawei U8110
    IMEI : 359145030029656
    Firmware : M7X25V100R001C00B215_T

    ================================================== =================

    Unlocking, please wait ...

Preparing Boot Download mode ... OK
Waiting modem/phone to be ready ...

    unlock failed !

    (error code 129)
The hardware disappears from Device Manager immediately before the "OK" appears after "Preparing Boot Download mode". I get the message to unplug and replug the USB cable, and after doing that I get the failure code.

Happens just the same with latest DC Unlocker. I tried this version after seeing some success with it in a previous post here but no change!

I've had no problems previously with other phones of the same model using DC Unlocker 1.00.0738 but that's not working either. It doesnt ask to unplug the cable before giving an error (36 I think with that version) but IIRC it didn't with the other successful unlocks.

Try to reinstall drivers of the phone, also restart phone by removing its battery for 20 seconds then place it back and repeat unlock procedure.

Hi all that was tried yesterday but nothing helped.

Ive just tried it successfully on a different PC so must be some software conflict.

      All sorted but thanks anyway
