The idea was to insert a valid simcard and then use the B593 as modem while unlocking the same. Is that possible? Will anything get damaged if not?

I was not worried about the lack of credits with regard to detection. Just asking if I need to have a refund or have to bouy new ones if I eventually, one of these days, manage to detect the modem while also being connected to your server so I might try to unlock again.

No, you wont be able to unlock device that is connected to internet, you'll most likely will get error code 62 message during unlock. You do not need now to buy new credits to unlock this device as you have bought them already, even though you have 0 in your account now.

I really wish I know how this came about.

          Anyway, thanks for everything!

Pehaps I should clarify.. I never tried with a valid simcard. The setup has been the same save for a try with wifi using my nokiaphone: wifi from a Dovado router with a Huawei E372 modem. The last try I made was about eight hours ago and the setup was exactly the same as it was a few minutes ago when everything worked. Router and computer was shut down after last try and then started again when I decided to have a go again.

So during this attempt there was a valid sim card inside the device, yes?

Hi. This is a very late answer..Sorry for that.
No. It was the old invalid sim card. That is what I was trying to explain in my last message. Figured you might think I went ahead and experimented. It never came to that. Like I said: exactly the same setup as at the previous, unsuccessful try. Have no idea why it suddenly worked.
                Thanks again!
                Bye
