Huawei Ascend Y201

Hi,
I've ascend Y201 mod U8666E - 51 I've been trying to unlock it but no happening have tried 2 different versions all keep coming back unable to find phone have tried on 3 different computers but get the same result, computers recognise phone when in normal mode & can open files on it is there something I'm missing as I've read of others swear by this program for this phone.

Hello Valdemaras,
I've followed the tutorial to a tee, I've used the latest version & still get the same result, the process as tutorial shows until U press the detect button then in a flash "phone not found". I've got the tutorial on a laptop beside the computer I'm running the unlock program on & I uninstalled previous version & installed 1.00.1024 but still get the same results.

Have you installed drivers from the guide, as it is very important step. Also does pc recognizes your phone being connected? Maybe there is software/pc-suite installed on pc related to your phone? If so, it should be closed during detection.

The files that I've been downloading doesn't allow me to open into individual files & select the driversetup.exe no matter how U select it, it just automatically starts & installs program so do I need find some other driver software

You need to install drivers from device manager like shown in the driver installation guide. If phone starts installing software - let it. Just make sure it is closed during detection.

Hi,
since last chat I downloaded the zipped file from top of tutorial unzipped then selected driversetup.exe & it got to 80% then windows came with program not installed properly, the computers operating system is windows 7 home, so copiered it to a stick & loaded it onto a computer with XP on it & did the same, then I shutdown & restarted but no sign of program.
Yes with phone in normal mode computer finds & U can open files in pink screen mode when U plug phone in it gives an acknowledge sound.
When I download the version 1.00.1024 I can't open it in any form to get to the individual files it just does a auto start
Beginning to think I've payed money for a bad deal.

Sir i do not understand fully now your problem, installing drivers doesnt install any software along with them. As i understood you can't launch dc-unlocker software or am i wrong? What do you mean " to get to the individual files it just does a auto start"?

I got the phone unlocked the file driversetup.exe turned out to be USB-DRIVER U8810 - U8815.zip install this then launch unlocker & all work ok
