Vodafone R205 Mi.Fi dongle

I am trying to unlock the dongle in the subject line

anybody had sucess with this...The s/w cannot find the modem and i believe i am using the lastest s/w version..

It is supported by dc-unlocker and should be detectable. Make sure you use auto detect option on select model line. Also make sure its connected via usb cable to pc only, but not to the internet. Also go to device manager and check if it appears there without any "?" or "!" marks.

well for some reason the software isn't detecting it.

It is connected to PC via USB cable and ive tried with and without the SIm card in it.

am I missing something obvious

Do you see modem in device manager under modems and ports sections?
