I'm posting this for others thinking about getting this software. I bought it & successfully unlocked my new Australian Virgin E1762 modem bought from Dick Smith. The Virgin-branded connection manager software still works. I've tried a 3 SIM in it & all I had to do was create a new profile with the 3 connection details and it connected fine.
The only issue is the difficulty in using the software due to a lack of any form of reasonable documentation, just a blurry YouTube video as a demo which uses a diffenrent version of the software (& it has different buttons in the critical are of the unlocking process).
I suggest that the authors put a small amount of effort into creating some instructions.
