Need Help with Huawei E156G

I've bought Huawei E156G with broadband connection from Mobitel (local service provider, Sri Lanka). They promised me 3.6mbps and im getting around 1mbps. I contacted them and they told me its not a network problem. So i thought it can be a modem's problem. Can any one help me with this? Also this modem is limited for Mobitel (Local service provider). Can i unlock it? So i can use any network with my modem. Thank you.

No, you need to be closer to the transmission tower.

Do we need credits use this software? I just downloaded it and try to detect the device but it didnt even detected it. Does it need credits to detect the device?

NO need credits to detect.Before detect close your connection manager and remove your sim.3.6mbps is the maximum modem speed.You never conect to that speed in sri lanka.This is not your modem fault.
