  • Huawei E169/K3520

    Hi,
I have a Huawei E169/K3520. I've downloaded the new dc-unlocker2client (1.00.0373) bought credit points, but it seems that the stick is not recognized.
I've tried it on 3 different PC's - still the same effect.
I have an Option Globetrotter, this is recognized perfectly.

    Any idea.

Check, if the connection software for this modem is closed at detect time. Check, if the drivers are installed and use autodetect function in dc-unlocker software.

As far as I can say, yes the programs are closed and the drivers are loades. I can see the the entries in the devicemanager.
I even installed the only the drivers that came with dc-unlocker2client on a different pc an no application. Same problem.
By the way it is a vodafone stick from Germany and the 'Vodaphone Mobile Connect Service' is disabled and the Software too.

Could you try installing the software that installs from modem? The close ti and then try detect modem using autodetect function?Could you check, if you see modem in modems section in device manager? Check, if not other huawei modem is connected at detect time.

I took another laptop without any previous installation of UMTS modems. I installed the "Mobile Partner" I'd stored on the stick instead of the Vodafone software. I could not stop the installation on a point to install the drivers manualy. So the dirvers where installed - I get a 3G modem (COM4), HUAWEI Moblie Connect - 3G Application Interface (COM5) and HUAWEI Mobile Connect - 3G PC UI Interface (COM6).
I uninstalled the "Mobile Partner" Software and the drivers where uninstalled - the modem and the COM-ports are removed. Then I started the driversetup.exe (from "C:\Programme\DC-Unlocker\drivers\huawei_modems") the drivers delivered with dc-unlocker. When I start "dc-unlocker2client" with autodetect -> "card not found". When I select the "Huawei E169/E169G" and set COM5 and COM6 in the corresponding fields - still the same result.
So tried a lot of defferent things on four different laptops - but the same problem. It seems that I'm doing the same things wrong on every computer.
          Any ideas?

Do not uninstall original software and drivers. After it is installed reconnect modem. Wait till original software finds the modem. Then close the original software. Cehck in task manager that it is really closed. Then try to detect using autodetect function.

I'd done this with the same effect. After that I tried the other drivers.
The original software was not running while testing.

Could you try to check ports in device manager and enter them to dc-unlocker software manually? Then try to detect.

I've done all this a lot of times. Tried even the different comports in the manual entry-fields without luck. Strange. As mentioned it worked/works without any problem with a Option Globetrotter (on any of the available computers).

Could you write what huawei modem you are detecting? Check, maybe you can generate the unlock code without detecting modem, if dc-unlocker support unlock code generating for this modem.

I could generate the code with dc-unlocker and had just to write the code into the Huawei. Thanks for the support.
