Huawei E5830 Error Code 31

I have purchased 15 credits, attempt to unlock the Huawei E5830 but receive the following:

unlock failed !

(error code 31)

I have also tried with dc-unlocker2client_0377.exe

I have the drivers installed, the network adaptor disabled that is associated with the dongle and the no sim card inserted.

Please help.

I have just tried on a native windows xp machine, (previously I was using windows xp within VMWare). It looked like it got further because it said setting to download mode but then failed with error code 21.

Can anyone tell me what these error codes mean?

Check, if no conenction software is running. Follow instructions, that dc-unlocker writes. If that doesn't help - contact us by live chat for debug.

Thanks, I forgot to disable the network adaptor that it created. It worked fine after doing that.
