B593 - Should I upgrade firmware before or after unlocking

Hi,
I've got a B593 from Zain that I want to lock. Checking the Zain website, I see that there is a firmware update available.

I was wondering if I should update before or after unlocking the router.

Also, once I unlock, will I be able to update firmware in future? Would I have to go back to the Zain site for updates or would I have to look for it on Huawei's site?

You should try to unlock device as it is now, after firmware update router might get locked again, therefore you'll need to perform unlock again, but unlocking same device won't require any additional credits.

Based on your advise and also with support from the "HiLink modems driver instalation for Windows 7 guide.pdf" file on your forums, I unlocked my router

Initially, the modem was not being detected, but then I realized that I have to insert a SIM from a different provider. Did this and everything worked perfectly!

This is the second router I have unlocked and am really pleased with your services.
