  • HUAWEI E5756 Stuck in 3G only mode, also help on debranding?

    Hi everyone!

First time posting here, but I need a bit of help. I bought a Huawei E5756 from 3 UK to unlock for another network. The unlocking went grand through DC Unlocker, but now when I go into the mifi's settings (192.168.0.1) I try to select the preferred network mode to 2G + 3G but it's blurred out saying "3G Only". Is there anyway I can set it to both? This is with the 3 software on it, and there is NO WHERE on the internet that has any information on debranding it! The mifi works grand with a EE sim that picks up full 3G, but there is no 3G on Vodafone where I live so the mifi will not pick up any signal.

    Thanks for your help!

    Josh

You may need to change firmware in order to debrand it.

You need to find generic firmware or debranding firmware of your device, that would allow you to access these settings.

Apologies, but dc-unlocker does not have files for this device, try to look for them over the internet with key words like generic firmware for e5756" or similar.

Doesn't seem to be anything, looks like I'm out of luck
