Sony duo 13 Huawei Modem

Hi,

I bought the newly Sony laptop Duo 13 from Japan. It comes with 4G network but it is locked with AU Japan provider. Any help will be appreciated.

Could you try to detect them modem by dc-unlocker? Or write modem model. Then we would be able to check more.

The DC unlocker couldn't detect the modem model. The device manager shows its Huawei Mobile Broadband Module. The hardware ID is
USB\VID_12D1&PID_1573&REV_0228&MI_00

If you can not detect modem, check this:
Make sure all drivers are installed.
Make sure modems connection software is installed, but not running. (if there is one)
Use Autodetect on dc-unlocker “select model” line.
Make sure modem is not connected to internet.

Thanks for the steps, turn off the mobile broadband, but the modem was not found.
DC - Unlocker 2 Client 1.00.1034

Detecting modem :

selection :
manufacturer - Huawei modems
model - Auto detect (recommended)


modem not found !

Could you check in device manager if your modem appears under Modems as well as Ports lines? Also if it appears differently there please mention it.

it shows under USB controller: USB Mobile Broadband Network Adapter Module
Location as Port_#0004.Hub_#0001
seems like its a build in usd modem.

The mobile broadband disappeared right after the USB Adapter Module was disabled.

Unfortunately but if integrated modem does not appear in other way on device manager then it can't be detected by dc-unlocker, therefore we won't be able to investigate possible solution to unlock it.
