E583x - Do i need to unlock

My E583x is bought from operator and never done any un-locking before.

When I used the un-locker client, it showed my "E583x" is "Unlocked".

However, if I inserted a SIM card of other operators, it always shows the SIM card is invalid and cannot connect. The Signal icon on E583x always in "red" light.

There is no problem with the original operator SIM card.

In such situation, do I need to unlock my "E583x"?

Indeed, the setup on E583x does not allow me to specify the APN. How could I update it?

.... I found the answer myself. Before I can unlock the e583x, I need to insert the SIM card of other operator.

THe unlock Client will show the SIM lock status be "SIM Locked", then I can proceed the "Unlock".

After it is unlock, i can insert SIM card of any other operators.

.... and one more thing, the APN of different operator will set automatically and it is not required to specify explicitly.
