  • vodafone K3565 unable to detect for status

I purchased vodafone K3565 and found in my service area 3G is yet to be enabled for them, which is always "Next Few Months" since a year now.

other provider is 3G ready but the device is locked cause inserting other sim, VMC says "insert correct simcard"

I downloaded DC-unlocker (dc-unlocker_client-1.00.0388) to check but its not getting detected.

USB Modem is installed and shown as COM5 port.
vodafone mobile connect software is installed but not running.
checked with SIM and without SIM.
manually selected model and tried auto-detect.

    running vista + SP2 + .net 3.5

can someone let me know how do i check status and then purchase credits needed.

In order to detect modem you should check the fallowing:
Check, if modem drivers are installed.
Check, if modem connection software is closed and modem is not connected to internet.
Check, if you use autodetect function in dc-unlocker software.
Check, if use latest dc-unlocker software.

It works now installed the Drivers from drivers directory of DC Unlocker

          DC - Unlocker 2 Client 1.00.0388

          Detecting card :

          selection :
          manufacturer - Huawei datacards
          model - Auto detect

          Found modem : K3565
          Model : Vodafone K3565
          IMEI : 3xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
          Firmware : 11.6xx.13.00.210
          Dashboard version : 9.x.x_2.11.09_H
          Serial NR. : Dxxxxx19A24xxxx0
          SIM Lock status : unlocked
Wrong codes entered : 0 (unlock attempts left : 10)

So do i need to buy credits to let other SIM work or i have the

Thank you for good news. If there is no sim or wrong sim is inserted at detect time when you see lock status as unlocked, then do not need to buy credits and unlock. But if there is original sim, then you need to detect again and if modem lock status will be locked, then need to buy credits.

Detect with not original sim card inserted (other provider than modem) and you will see the real lock status.

                  hi,

okay so i should try a Telekom or O2 or wtf ever..
If a Vodafone Sim is insert it always will show unlocked?
or does this mean it has a Netlock and no simlock on the prepaid card?

With my ultracard it displays me a message like this "your ultra card is not configured to be the sms card.. should this be changed?"

Try any other provider sim card. Yes, with original sim card modem will always show lock status as unlocked.
