E583x question about accessing 192.168.1.1

I have bought E5830 from Three UK network recently and I found it doesn't allow to access web administration panel at 192.168.1.1, and I only can change its settings using 3 WiFi Manager software in Windows (I use Linux on daily basis).

My guess is that access to web admin panel is disabled in firmware and I'm thinking to reflash it with different firmware image.

I've found firmware upgrade at http://www.netvigator.com/ website, which is E5838Update_716.11.17.07.108SP02.exe and the question is whether this firmware allows user to connect to internal modem address at 192.168.1.1 to manage its settings?

Any input on this will be much appreciated.

No, the firmwire just update the "Netvigator" User Interface (Web Admin Panel) and the interface display the provider's logo and settings and cannot change the connection profile.
