Help me unlocking Huawei E173s-2

Hello, can anyone help me? I want to unlock E173s-2 from orange. I ve DC-unlocker (no credit) and it says that its already unlocked?! I tried last time unlocking with code writer but it kept saying error.. and now whenever I change sim card it says invalid sim. what I do?

There must be invalid sim (other operators) inside the modem to get correct lock status.

I've been reading other posts here and I managed to install maxis broadband and unistall orange internet everywhere, Now the sim card is valid and Internet works! but still another problem, its always GPRS??

Check that network is not set manually, try auto detect network if connection software has this option, try to check your device with mobile partner as well.

Setting are all ok. I tried mobile partner but still only GPRS network. Even the default software which came with the modem shows only GPRS

Have you checked if network is not selected manually? Maybe other connections are not available in the area?

Network is selected automaticly and the network is HSPA+ when using mobile or other 3gmodem the network is 3g++/HSPA+ all the time. I uninstalled everything and re-install but still only showing GPRS network. Maybe its a firmware or driver problem?

If this same sim works fine on other modem, then yes this problem might be related to current firmware of e173s-2 that you try to use it with now.

If you can not detect modem, check this:
Make sure all drivers are installed.
Make sure modems connection software is installed, but not running. (if there is one)
Make sure modem is not connected to internet.

Problem solved
It seems to be that while the option Network type is set to auto, the modem uses only GPRS (weird), I changed it to '3G++ only' and the problem was solved
