  • Unlock problem on Huawei B260a

Hello. I need help unlocking Huawei B260a on Windows 7. I'm using wireless connection to internet and connect the modem B260 on ethernet port, the program dc unlock cliente recognizes the modem but Windows 7 assumes the ethernet connection over the wireless connection and when i do unlock it will connects to servers but no conection and gives some error. i know that happens because my Windows is assuming the ethernet connection but i tried the tutorial on the website and no luck. Please help if anybody knows how to resolve this situation. sorry for my bad english! thanks for helping.

Please check the adapter binding settings like so - https://www.dc-unlocker.com/adapter-binding-settings make sure connection of b260a is on the bottom of the list, then reconnect it to pc and repeat detect/unlock procedure. This should solve connection priority problem. Let us know with results.

Note, that pc restart might be necessary for new settings to be applied, have you tried it?

Try to set these settings here - control panel > network and internet > network connections > Right click on your device connection > Properties > Internet protocol (TCP/IP) > Properties > Advanced > IP settings > Uncheck "Automatic metric". Set Interface metric as "200". OK > OK > OK

Then reconnect router to pc and repeat detect/unlock procedure. See if it helps.

Sure you do not sue modem that you try to unlock for internet connection? Modem that you are unlocking should be free (not connected to internet at unlock time). Also, disconnect other huawei modems if are connected before unlock.

                    Hi Vincentas.

The B260a has an invalid sim inserted in it and I am using a UPC connection (Thompson Router) to connect to the NET

Try to use router with other provider sim. Sometimes even after this error it may be unlocked.
Try to detect router by autodetect, not by selecting model.
Error 21 may be caused because router is in use or any process for it left running. Please check, maybe your other connection using same ip range? It can not be same.

                          Hi Vincentas,
I will try another sim card. I have been using autodetect already.

I think the issue is the ip address range. Can you please advice on which device I need to change the IP address range on?

Try on device which you try to unlock.
