  • E220 Lock

    Hi, I've got a E220. When I use Dc-Unlocker to check for modem, I get this information;

    Found modem : E220
    Model : Huawei E220
    IMEI : 354136026349302
    Firmware : 11.117.09.01.56
    Dashboard version : VMCLite_E220_3.2.1.156_standard
    Serial NR. : E02AB10842402862
SIM Lock status : Locked (Card Lock)

My question; The SIM Lock status says Locked. Will Dc-Unlocker open this card so I can use it with any sim card?

    Thanks.

Yes, Dc-Unlocker software do exactly what you want
If you are not dongle-user, than you must buy 10 credit to unlock it.

      Works! But...

      Thanks Fakiro, worked well!
      Next problem is Vista.

I've managed to find firmware 11.313.02.00.01, and I use Vodaphone, VCM_lite, 3.2.1.156. Works perfect on XP.

On Vista Home I've got problems. First, I could only see the E220 as a usb/CD device. After some testing, I finally got the driver installed on Vista, and in modems I can see the E220.

I try to query the modem, and it responds back, tought it take some time.

When trying the DC-Unlocker, it will not find the E220 on Vista. Neither VCM see the E220.

So what do I have to do? Any suggestion where to start?

I've been looking and searching on the web, and I see many people have problems. Can anybody point me the right direction?

Right now I'm in South Africa, using Vodacom (Vodaphone). Thanks!

If you can not detect modem you should check the fallowing:
Check, if the drivers are installed
Check, if the connection for this modem is closed and modem is not connected to internet
Check, if you use autodetect function in dc-unlocker software
Check, if you use latest dc-unlocker software version.

          SIM Locked status

Huawei E220 from Sun Broadband. If I insert the Sun Broadband (Philippines) SIM, the unlocker software will say "unlocked". If I disconnect the modem and insert the Smartbro (Philippines) SIM, reconnect, the unlocker software will say SIM is locked. Does the software unlock the modem or the SIM card? Sorry I am a newbie in this field and just signed in yesterday.

DC-unlocker unlocks modem. There must be invalid sim inside (in your case not a Sun Broadmand sim) the modem to get correct lock status and unlock it.
