I used DC unlocker to unlock my Huawei E169 which all went fine. I also loaded up the new generic dashboard and Mobile Partner software.
I've now got a new sim from my local provider (Telus, in Canada) and I've set up an account with them. I've also called their tech support and got the APN to set up a new profile (they told me there is no username or password or anything).
The last thing I think I have to do is register on a network. If I set it to "Auto search and register" and then try to connect I get the error message "You can't connect before register an available network". If I set it to "Manual search and register" and hit refresh I see one network come up which is not the one my sim card is with. If I try to register with this one it says "Register failed. Do you want to register the previous network now?".
Does anybody have any advice? I checked with my provider and they said that my device should work on their network.
