  • Unlocking E5372T?

I see in this forum that a E5372T was recently unlocked successfully. What steps are required to do this?

On my modem the unlock button is greyed out even though the modem seems to be seen correctly.

    Cheers

Is there original or other provider sim card inserted at detect time?

I have tried both the Telstra original and a different sim. In the second case, I had the option "Voice" as well.

Strangely, the output from the software says the SIM is unlocked already, but I know it isn't, as the different sim wouldn't work.

      Hope this helps!

If with other provider sim inserted you see lock status as unlocked, means modem is unlocked already or not locked.

          Fixed!!!!

          Hi Vincentas,

I have tried with a second different SIM, and this time the device showed as Locked, and the UNLOCKING worked really well.

The DC-Unlocker software now shows "Unlocked" for both the Telstra SIM and the one from the different provider.

          Many thanks for your help.

          Cheers
          John

... but the device name has been changed!

            Hi Vincentas,

I have just noticed that the device is now recognised as a
            Model : Huawei E5776s
            instead of the original E5372T.

I hope this won't cause any problems with upgrading the firmware in the future.....

            Cheers
            John
