Hi - hoped it wouldn't come to this ...
My Huawei B593s-22 modem is not found by latest DCU software (v1.00.1105). I've done all the "processes" suggested (firewall etc.). The modem appears in the LAN adapter under Network Settings. My account is good and I have sufficient credits. I've tried 3 different computers (2 x Win7 64-bit and one old WinXP) with same results. I've reset router and only changed LAN IP from default 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.11.1 (also tried 192.168.1.2) to prevent conflict with my main Alactel Y800 4G router whose SIM I want to use.
The router is brand new, UK sourced and Huawei branded and I thought it was unlocked but it came with an EE SIM for a trial. It fires up OK and unlocked with this EE SIM but I am in Portugal so there's no EE coverage
. I am with Optimus WOW with the Alcatel router over here.
Connection is by LAN cable (known to work). Wireless turned on or off (after server validation) - no change.
Product information as follows (direct from router):-
Model : B593s-22
SN : S2Z7SA93C0602**2 (I can let you know ** digits if necessary)
IMEI : 860091022287*** (I can let you know *** digits if necessary)
Hardware version : Ver.B
Firmware version : V200R001B236D30SP00C1055
Firmware build time : Nov 23 2013 / 14:33:42
Have I got non-standard firmware preventing detection? If so, can I flash something generic (and which of the many versions around)?
Does it matter what SIM card is inserted during the attempt to unlock (e.g. normal mobile phone SIM card)? I've tried with / without various SIM cards.
I have searched other earlier threads (e.g."B593s-22 Help!!" started 2013-09-27) and did all the suggestions. I even tried the <1066> software build!
Does the DCU cllient need to be on-line to detect the modem (it seems not)?
Any help appreciated.
