  • E352b voice feature unlocked for credits does not work!

    Hi!

I downloaded DC-Unlocker, checked that "Activate voice" button is active, then bought credits and "activated" voice fatures. Now DC-Unlocker says that voice feature is enabled, but I see no modem audio device or something alike. ATD commands etc. do not work.

    DC-unlocker logs BEFORE:

    Found modem : E352b
    Model : Huawei E352
    IMEI : 860110022477281
    Serial NR. : W5DBYA9312526111
    Firmware : 21.158.23.00.209
    Compile date / time : Dec 20 2012 11:56:53
    Hardware ver. : CH2E303SM
    Dashboard version : UTPS22.001.18.43.209_MAC22.001.18.31.209_LNX22.001 .18.30.209
    Chipset : HiSilicon
    Voice feature : disabled
    SIM Lock status : unlocked
Wrong codes entered : 0 (unlock attempts left : 10)

    DC-Unlocker logs AFTER:

    Found modem : E352b
    Model : Huawei E352
    IMEI : 860110022477281
    Serial NR. : W5DBYA9312526111

    SIM Lock status : unlocked

I believe that you take money not for the cool text "Voice feature: enabled", but for the real activation of voice features. How can I get them up and running? AT^CVOICE doesn't count: I can't deal any number or answer the call either, so calling to the modem's number tells that "Subscriber's phone is switched off or out of coverage".

Make sure your modem can work on service frequency you try to use it first, check settings and dashboards compatability with voice feature, does the firmware of the modem support voice?

      E352b voice features fake unlock

Well, service frequencies are rather suitable: I write these messages using the broadband connection made throught this modem.

What settings should I check? Voice services are enabled at the carrier's side. I entered ATD command directly into the DC-Unlocker client's window and got the following:

      ^ORIG:1,0
      ^CEND:1,0,0,0

I could not get any value of this status code.

How could I know if firmware supports voice? I browsed the forum first then saw that for the firmwares that do not support voice feature DC-Unlocker client shows that button disabled or merely writes - "not supported in current firmware" or "not supported" at all. So I had the right to expect your software to tell whether this firmware supports voice features or not. Indeed, it is your software that inspects my modem stick's hardware and software, you read the logs.

So I would like to get my problem solved or get my money back or another win-win solution.

Is device's dashboard compatible for voice feature? Or you just try to use this service from elsewhere.

Original branded built-in dashboard lacks voice features.

I downloaded universal dashboard that has all the functions inside. It was no luck: there was no voice call. Did you read my posts before? I used ATD command also, if modem is ever OK with voice, it MUST dial a number, but it answers:
                ^ORIG:1,0
                ^CEND:1,0,0,0
                and nothing more happens.

Also there's no voice device installed when I'm inserting modem.

I use a usual sim card that supports voice calls (I tested it with my Nokia phone).

What else should I test to make you believe that voice feature "unlock" does not work for this modem?

Sorry we do not provide support regarding AT commands or information about/from them. You should check with this mobile partner https://www.dc-unlocker.com/downloads/get/LihV26NW for making Voice, please make a screenshot or be more detailed what happens when you attempt to make a voice call with your modem.

I downloaded it and tried to make voice call. Result is the same: there's no call.

I switch to "Call" tab, dial a number, then press green phone button. It beeps shortly and adds a 0:00 length call to the list.

As you can see, this dashboard (as any other) simply does not do anything when I deal a number, it just shows zero-length call.

Okay, so as i understood so far when you enter AT^CVOICE=? command to check status of your modem's voice feature (either its on or off), you get positive one, but when you attempt to make an actual call nothing happens, is that correct?

I'll try to look for more information about your megafon's firmware of the modem if it supports voice at all, it might be so that problem is related to it afterall. Will respond as soon as i locate any info about it. Also will check possibility of an error on our side on the software for why it allowed you to enable if firmware is not supporting this feature. Thank you for your patience.

Let me know your username that you made enabling voice with, incase nothing could be done regarding it, we will issue a refund for it.

Unfortunately, but it seems firmware itself is not supporting voice feature, refund was issued and should reach same account that payment was made from later during the day.
