  • Huawei Ascend Y300 - modem not found

I checked your list and found my device listed for unlocking. I've installed the drive and software and purchased the credits. I rebooted my computer after installation.

After getting the purple/pink screen on my cell and connecting with USB to my computer, then clicking on the DC-Unlocker...finally getting to where it is supposed to detect my "modem".... and it keeps telling me "modem not found".

Why is it not detecting my cell? Now what?

Detect as huawei phone, not huawei modem. Need to select huawei phones from manufacturer list.

        detecting my phone

I did select to detect it as a phone (meant that - not modem). but the software did not detect my cell. I tried both usb ports to make sure and it still didn't detect it.

Sure you follow this procedure: https://www.dc-unlocker.com/huawei-ascend-y300-unlock

Be sure that you use drivers provided, not any others.

            drivers and unlocking my cell

No matter how many times I try it, it says it does not detect my phone. The usb ports are working for other things so I don't think that is the problem.

How can I check to make sure the driver is installed that I need? Also, can I check to see if other drivers were installed that might be blocking the detection of my cell and then uninstall them?

My computer says that the T-Mobile driver was not installed, but I don't have T-Mobile. Unless the MetroPCS that came with my cell is also part of T-Mobile.

I would like to get this to work, but if I cannot by this morning then please can I have a refund?

            Thank you.

Uninstall all huawei devices from pc using this software https://www.dc-unlocker.com/download...evice_software . Then open guide that Vincentas gave link to. Download drivers from there, using other drivers will make phone not detectable on software.
