*Sigh*
I found this site by googling
And have now managed to upgrade my unlocked and previously .00 firmware to 11.604.21.00.156 and realised that this is a '3' branded one. (ok stop laughing newbie mistake)
I checked using DC-U and it is unlocked.
Found modem : E160
Model : Huawei E160/E160G/E160X
IMEI : 3*********1232
Firmware : 11.604.21.00.156
Dashboard version : UTPS11.300.05.00.03_MAC11.202.08.00.03
Serial NR. : D***********44
SIM Lock status : unlocked
Wrong codes entered : 0 (unlock attempts left : 10)
I bought 5 credits and ran the firmware code from IMEI using the one from the Dongle that has the .156 firmware installed (I have another one that is not locked and also still has the old .00 firmware and have to connect to the web using that one which is complicating this process slightly)
I have now tried upgrading my firmware to E160Update_11.608.05.00.00.B409 using the firmware password that DC-U generated. and swapping the dongles round so that the correct one is in the USB port.
The firmware fails to update after entering the password.
Any ideas?
