Trying to unlock a u1250, and like others, can't figure out how to get it to be detected. I read through the other forums, but their solutions are not so clear. Using Win 7... computer recognizes it as a storage device, but disabled that (still shows up in "devices")... can't figure out how to get it to show up as a 'modem' or in the ports section of the Windows Device Manager. Also loaded PC Suite, but it says that it can't find any USB devices. Not sure what else that's supposed to do. HELP PLEASE!!

Correct steps to detect it here https://www.dc-unlocker.com/huawei_p...lock_tutorials starts from "For all other Huawei phones:" Make sure not to disable drive of device but eject it from computer/my computer area window.

I ejected the "Huawei CD Drive" via the Computer window, but the phone doesn't show up in the "Modems" and "Ports" sections of the Device Manager, so when I select "Huawei Phones" in the DC Unlocker window, it still won't find the phone. Thoughts?

Do not try to detect phone if it does not appear correctly on computer, it won't be detected. You must first install it correctly/fully. make sure software/pc suite of phone is installed as well as drivers for it. Try connecting it to another usb port. If computer that you try to detect it on has 64bit win os then problem might be related to it. If possible check on another computer.Originally posted by lundy View PostI ejected the "Huawei CD Drive" via the Computer window, but the phone doesn't show up in the "Modems" and "Ports" sections of the Device Manager, so when I select "Huawei Phones" in the DC Unlocker window, it still won't find the phone.
