Hello! I need to unlock my HP Stream 13 laptop which has hs3114 mobile broadband module installed (this module is in fact rebadged Huawei MU736). DC Unlocker client does not detect it since it shows as a mobile broadband device, not modem in the device manager. Is there any solution for this?

Instructions and drivers for mu736 you can find here: https://www.dc-unlocker.com/hp-mu736...t-unlock-guide

You sure that you have installed drivers from the guide and restarted notebook afterwards? This should have brought it to ports mode instead of still being under network adapters.Originally posted by runner1234 View Post
It is detected as network adapter, together with Bluetooth and wifi adapters.

I was able to get it to show up as a port. However it would not enable once doing so. The tool kept repeating modem not found on various attempts. I tried the drivers offered up here and other drivers on the net. The tool won't let me put in any COM port information either. This is on the HP Stream 13. Can any one provided additional advice or know a way to obtain a lock code? I am attempting to use an AT&T mobile broadband plan SIM.
Oddly enough, the mobile broadband device on the HP Stream 8 I have was unlocked out of the box. My AT&T SIM just works. It also just worked in an HP Chromebook 14 w/ 4G which has a similar modem I believe.

Attempt to detect module on several versions of DC-unlocker, on latest one and older one, like v1074.Originally posted by jwiskowski View PostI was able to get it to show up as a port. Do I need to work on getting it to enable once listed under ports and not network in Device Manager before I attempt trial and error with the tool versions? I have tried 1074, 1118 and current version.

I tried everything. Even got in some mess where it showed up as 4 different ports. I am going to stop trying for now but would love additional ideas or thoughts. Thank you Valdemaras and anyone else who can assist.

Thank you jwizkowski for joining. I tried to install the drivers loaded on DC unlocker site but this does not bring the broadband device to the ports mode. It is show as mobile broadband enumerator device instead with no port attached. Furthermore, Windows shows the device is not properly setup (there is a warning sign). Once I restart, Microsoft drivers get back. I will try to attach a screenshot later tonight.

Unfortunately but if module does not come up under ports after installing our drivers and restarting notebook, then no other solution, sorry.Originally posted by runner1234 View PostHere is how my wireless modem is shown in the device manager before I install any drivers.
